College is turning out to be a drag for B. No one is up for free sushi and sake, Vanessa and her documentaries are popular and Georgina is back. Weird, but it was Dan who tried helping her fit in by bringing her to the rooftop party. Blair-Dan moments are so out of the blue they are always nice.

Little J remains uncharted territory after she refuses to give up her Big V to douchebag D, who quickly dumps her afterward. What, turning her into a drug mule is not enough, Damien?

At the end of a long day/episode, Blair and Vanessa find it apt to talk about their mistakes over croissants. Let’s just say that Rufus was hitting two birds with one stone.
#15 Chuck’s Fake Date with Jenny
In an effort to shake Blair back to NYU reality, Chuck takes Jenny to a premiere and gets a paparazzo to take a photo of the two of them. It is a little douche-y, but he tries to justify it later by proclaiming: “Remember, I am Chuck Bass… and I love you.”

But what is more surprising is that it is not the first time Chuck has kissed a dude.

In total *** fashion, Dan wakes up the next day after the disastrous rooftop *** conversion party with Georgina asleep in his lap. Oh, Dan. You are supposed to be the smart one in the bunch, aren’t you?
#3 Blair tells Chuck that She Just Wants to be Happy.
After witnessing the simplicity of Vanya and Dorota’s love, Blair realizes she does not like the person she becomes when she is with Chuck. “This is the end, Chuck,” she says, before running off. As strong as the fandom is for Chuck and Blair, that was a good and valid point from B.

On the Bart-heavy episode, Chuck finally decides to visit his father’s grave, but nothing could have prepared him for what he saw: A woman in a babushka, standing over his grave. The shockers? One, said woman recognized Chuck and two, she left a locket containing a photo of Bart’s.
#1 Chuck Gives Blair an Ultimatum
Here’s a real conflict: Blair is convinced that Chuck is not good for her, and Chuck is sure that Blair is the only girl he’d settle for. What does he do? Give her an ultimatum: meet him on top of the Empire State or lose his love forever… or at least until next season.

Hollywood gossip. There’s no escaping it. From online sources such as TMZ.com and perezhilton.com to print magazines such as US Weekly and People Magazine, it’s everywhere these days. People just can’t get enough of Brittany or Lindsay. So what do kids think about all that Hollywood gossip and is it healthy for children to be exposed to it?
While we think that we see more Hollywood gossip today than we have in years past, it’s really just that we are exposed to more because there are more outlets for Hollywood gossip to be spread–traditional network TV, cable channels, weekly magazines, tabloid papers, and on and on. There has always been Hollywood gossip in the press. In “olden days” Hollywood gossip was transmitted via radio and newspapers by reporters such as Army Archard. Kids saw and heard this Hollywood gossip just as they do today. Children heard about the ******* of Marilyn Monroe and the sexual exploits of Fatty Arbuckle. Perhaps they didn’t hear it quite as many times as they do today but they still heard it. No doubt parents in those days raised the same questions as parents today, should I shield my child from hearing about this.
The fact of the matter is, unless you disconnect the cable, shut down the Internet, or stop walking past magazines in the grocery store, your children are going to be seeing and hearing Hollywood gossip about the exploits of the rich and “infamous.”
So what should you do about the Hollywood gossip your kids are exposed to? Most experts would likely agree that you can not prevent your children from being exposed to Hollywood gossip. What you can do, however, is talk with them about what they see. In other words, use the Hollywood gossip for teaching moments.
Does that sound far fetched to you? Well think about it. Not too long ago the Hollywood gossip wire was full of information about Jamie Lynn Spears and her out of wedlock pregnancy. What a great time to talk with your pre-teen daughter about the dangers out there. Or how about the Hollywood gossip that was generated when Shia LaBeouf had a dangerous accident that injured his hand? That could have presented the perfect opportunity to raise the issue of drinking and driving. The list could go on and on. So it’s really all about how you use the Hollywood gossip information that is out there. Who knows, perhaps exposing your children to Hollywood gossip could be a good thing.

If we consider working, sleeping, leisure/sport, and household activities, a 2006 American Time Use Survey Summary revealed the average full time employee spent 9.3 hours (almost 39 percent) of the day at his/her respective job with colleagues. Depending on the job, we spend more time with colleagues than family members. With so much time spent on the job, ideally, the workplace would be an environment that enticed us to arise each morning, enthusiastic about heading to our jobs. In reality, this is not the case as a recent study indicated that less than 50% of all Americans are satisfied with their jobs. Twenty years ago, 61 percent of Americans were satisfied with their jobs. Why is that?
People seek employment for various reasons: income, self-worth, the desire to be needed, and the desire for a sense of accomplishment. Unfortunately, when these needs are not met, dissatisfaction, unhappiness, and even hurt emerge. As a child, my friends and I would often recite “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Wow, what an untrue statement and belief. Words can and will hurt, depending on what, when, and where spoken, especially when spoken behind someone’s back…gossip. The victim of work place gossip automatically builds defense mechanisms and later dreads the threatening work environment. I think you would agree, few jobs compensate enough that a person is willing to return day, after day, after day for torture and personal attacks against them. Two major results of gossip are division (”Us and They” mentality) and unwarranted pain to those falling victim to such gossip.
“Us and They” Gossip:
I have been a manager and leader in organizations for over 15 years and specialize in building teams who focus on common cause achievements, understanding team roles and responsibilities, and acknowledging strengths and weaknesses. Based on these factors, I noticed the successful teams worked together to better the organization, team, and themselves. Most importantly, they deterred any sign or division, to include gossip. Divisive conversation that designates an “Us and They” mentality is detrimental to any organization. For instance, has anyone ever approached you and said, “Stick with us; we’ll make sure they don’t try to get over on you”? Although subtle and presented in a supporting manner, “Us and They” conversation is the building block for major organizational division and is a recruiting tactic used by either rival team. Hint: Run as far from these people as possible. They destroy work environments and work overtime at it, without pay! The more you engage in conversation with them, the more they gossip to sway your perception. Keep in mind, you have a great mind of your own and don’t need a daily bulletin on “Who’s who in the workplace.” As I stated earlier, stay away from these people.
Gossip Causes Unwarranted Pain:
Lisa came to work one morning and on her way to her desk, stopped by Jason’s desk to say good morning. While greeting one another, Jason glances at his computer, skims over the first few lines of an email and says, “UUUUgh, the boss really gets on my nerves! Does he send you stupid emails like this as well?” STOP! Hopefully, Lisa is mindful of her response to Jason because if she’s not careful, her response can create division in the workplace. Lisa should respond to Jason but not to his divisive statement. She may reply with “well, Jason, today will be great day, I need to get to my desk and will chat with you later.” However, if she agrees and responds with “yea, I know”, “I get them all the time”, or “I’m glad I’m not the only one”, she will perpetuate workplace gossip and division. Even worse, if the boss overhears or gets word that Lisa and Jason were gossiping about him, a huge misunderstanding may arise and rest assured the boss would be hurt, even if he doesn’t share his offense with those involved. The entire conversation would have lasted for only a few minutes but has lasting implications for days, months, years, or even a career for Lisa and Jason.
Avoid gossip in the workplace at all costs. As stated earlier, we spend a tremendous amount of time on the job. Why not foster a pleasant work environment for ourselves and colleagues and not a place of torture by words. Generally, we perform better when we are encouraged and when our talents are praised, not when we are ridiculed of our weaknesses. If your ears have been burning in the workplace, shake it off and know that you have a special place in your organization and possess valuable talents, if not, you would not have been hired. For those of us who have perpetuated workplace gossip and even instigated division in the organization, today’s a new day and accept the challenge to speak encouraging works to your peers and not words to tear them down. Everyone will benefit from this slight adjustment and watch the work environment change for the better.

For most of the workers, there is nothing troublesome than gossip at work. As we known, it is quite essential for employees to build good relationship with the colleagues. However, you and vulnerably join in the unexpected office gossip without notice. And it may spread so fast that it can reach nearly every corner of the office. The following are some strategies on dealing with office gossip.
Above all, you should hold a proper attitude on your work and surroundings. If you do not want to involved in office gossip, you should be positive towards your job and the surroundings and try to be tolerant towards others and negative things. In this way, you will be able to have good moods while you are working in the office. However, you should not ignore all of the gossip. You should try to get to know what is happening around you and take appropriate response. If the gossip is about you, you should stop it.
Secondly, you should try to avoid staying with the crowd when you are at the water cooler or some other places for gossip. More often, the places like toilet, smoking area are the best place for office gossip. If you do not want to hear about it, you may avoid staying long at such kind of places. When someone tries to have gossip with you, you may directly tell him or her that you can do nothing about the things that he or she is talking about.
The last but not least, you should examine yourself carefully before making any gossip about others. Most of the times, people are likely to notice the drawbacks of others rather than that of themselves. Therefore, you had better check very carefully and make sure that you do not have such bad habits or ridiculous features before mocking others. However, thinking in a positive way and avoid mocking others are the best way to avoid gossip at work.

Episode 13 is called “A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate”– a thin blue line, that is… like the kind you hope not to see on a teenage pregnancy test. And this particular pregnancy test causes scandal after scandal.
First it’s Serena, caught buying the test and reported by none other than Gossip Girl herself. Dan finds out in about two milliseconds and promises to do the right thing. I knew he was a sweetie pie. He’s a keeper, Serena.
But Serena bought the test is for Blair, who, being the spoiled princess she is, refuses to take it. Because if Miss Princess doesn’t want to be pregnant, then she’s not pregnant. Serena, well-intentioned as she is, can’t seem to mind her own business in the episode; she goes to Chuck to talk about Blair’s potential pregnancy. Chuck says it’s not his.
And Blair eventually gives in and takes the test. Crying, happy, she calls Serena to tell her that the test came out negative. She thinks that’s the end of it, but those of us who have been watching Gossip Girl TV know that it’s not. This kind of gossip doesn’t just die in the rich kid set.
Sure enough, Blair has to **** Chuck off (she’s very good at this) and he rats her out to Gossip Girl. In true Gossip Girl fashion, the whole school knows in just about three seconds (and you thought you liked cell phones!), and poor Blair is ostracized faster than you can say “teenage mom.” Seeing how quick her friends turn on her almost makes me glad I’m not rich. Almost.
The Queen Bee has been kicked off her throne.
Of course some other things happen in this episode, too. Dan tells Serena he loves her, and Serena has to deal with her emotional issues before she has the guts to tell him she loves him, too. But we know they love each other, as they’re constantly (and sometimes sickeningly) lovey-dovey, so this doesn’t come as a huge surprise.
The big surprises fall elsewhere in the Humphrey family. Jenny’s turning almost as evil as Blair, ratting her affair with Chuck out to Nate. And it looks like she’s gonna be the new Queen Bee. And Rufus is getting popular with the ladies: two dates on one night, and a near-catfight. Good for you, Rufus!
