Tripp and Serena appear to be in adulterated bliss. Leaving her alone at their getaway and pretending to meet with his grandfather, Tripp meets Maureen to boldly proclaim that he is adamant about the divorce. His boldness is short-lived. When Tripp proves he’s more mouse than man, Nate steps up to the plate.
Not only does Maureen get Tripp to go along with letting her talk to Serena about sharing him, but she also threatens to use the letter against Lily if Serena doesn’t comply. Lily is mortified to learn that Maureen has the letter and promises Serena that she will tell Rufus. Poor Rufus is an innocent bystander in these women’s twisted webs of love.
Blair confronts Chuck about his abnormal behavior, saying she knows it’s the anniversary of his father’s death. Chuck has to face his demons (really his father’s ghost) before he loses everything important to him. In finding closure, another door opens. Could the mysterious dark-haired woman he spies at his father’s grave be his mother?
Jenny and Eric finally call a truce!

Gossip Girl started off in September 18, 2007 in high anticipation due to the popular novel series. The only restriction is that only U.S. citizens can watch the episodes online from their website.

I couldn’t help feeling nostalgic when I heard that Nigel Dempster, the ex-diary editor on the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday died on Thursday June 12th aged sixty five. He had been suffering from a crippling wasting disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.
When I first became a gossip columnist on David Bailey’s ‘Ritz Newspaper’ in the late Seventies, he was one of the first people I went to interview – in his office in the Daily Mail. We got on so well, that from then on, we became ‘best friends’. He even got me into the National Union of Journalists. In those days, a journalist couldn’t work on Fleet Street unless he or she was a paid up member of the union. Nigel offered to propose me and after he had signed my NUJ application form, told me to meet him in Private Eye’s office. ‘The ‘Greatest Living Englishman’, as Auberon Waugh called him, wrote a scurrilous column called ‘Grovel’ for the satirical rag. Just before I went to meet him in the office, the zip on my jeans broke, and I ingeniously pinned the zip together with a giant safety pin.
‘Punky,’ Nigel quipped.
Richard Ingrams who was Private Eye’s editor at the time offered to second me for the NUJ, but I declined his offer. In retrospect, it was rather stupid of me. It would have been hilarious to have had ‘Lord Gnome’, Ingrams’ byline on Private Eye as my seconder. I turned him down as I thought it would be more sensible for a friend to do it. I asked Maggie Koumi, then editor of ‘19′ magazine to second me. (She later became editor on ‘Hello’ magazine). I was a film critic at the time and Maggie and I sat next to each other every night in screening rooms viewing new movies three months before their release date.
I used to see Nigel Dempster day in, night out as we were both invited to the same events. Once, (Sir) Dai Llewellyn invited all the Fleet Street gossip columnists and myself to a dinner at Wedgies, a Kings Road club which he ran. I was the only woman, but I still don’t understand why Dai greeted us in fancy dress: a corset, black stockings and suspender belts when we arrived. Nigel didn’t show. My fellow hacks, which included ‘William Hickey’ on the Daily Express were so jealous, they spent the entire evening bitching about him, accusing him of being too grand to show. Yes, Nigel and I were friends for years and he was always incredibly kind to me, until he turned on me. But, he seemed to do that with a lot of his associates. A story was ultimately more important to him than friendship, and many a bewildered friend of his couldn’t understand why he betrayed them in his columns in the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday. He was the consummate gossip columnist. For him, a scoop always came first.

Gossip Girl is a television series based on a book written by Cecil von Ziegesar. It talks about a bunch of youngsters from the elite society who attend private school at the Upper East Side of New York. These teenagers experience almost everything right from teenage problems, dangerous situations, drug addiction, to dealing with friends and family members. Each episode of Gossip Girl is narrated by an anonymous person voiced by Kristen Bell. The story revolves around twelve main characters out of which most popular are Serena van der Woodsen, Blair Waldrof, Dan Humphrey, Nate Archibald, Jenny Humphrey, Chuck Bass, and Vanessa Abrams.
The above mentioned characters of the series are played by young talented actors. Blake Lively plays Serena van der Woodsen who is a successful socialite and the most popular girl in the school. During the casting process Blake Lively was the first to be chosen to play the character of Serena van der Woodsen. Blake Lively has successfully risen to stardom in a short span of time. Before gracing the small screen she made a sensational debut on the big screen in her first movie “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”. She was nominated for the 2005 Teen Choice awards.
Leighton Meester plays the onscreen character Blair Waldrof, best friend to Serena van der Woodsen. Leighton Meester is perfect for this role and plays it with great panache. She has had a successful television career and has appeared in several other television series including “Entourage”, “8 Simple Rules”, “Numbers” and “CSI Miami”. Her most recurring roles were in “24″, “Veronica Mars”, “House” and “Shark”. Before starting her acting career she dabbled in modeling before sweeping the small screen.
Penn Badgley enacts the part of Dan Humphrey, a romantic character, who attends the private schools but does not fit into the elite circle financially. He starred in a television series called “The Mountain”. After relocating to Los Angeles he was offered a guest role in “Will and Grace”. There was no looking back and he soon played recurring roles on famous television series “The Young and the Restless”, “The Brothers Garcia” followed by “Daddio”. Penn was involved in Children’s Theater in Seattle. The character of Nate Archibald is played by Chace Crawford. He has acted in the top box office opener movie of 2006 “The Covenant”. Chace shuttles his time between Los Angeles where he is based and New York where Gossip Girl is being filmed.
Taylor Momsen plays the young Jenny Humphrey sister to Dan Humphrey and a budding fashion designer. Taylor Momsen is the youngest cast member of Gossip Girl. At only seventeen she has grabbed the limelight and become a successful actor. She acted in successful box office movies like “Spy Kids 2″ and “We Were Soldiers”. Ed Westwick is a British actor and plays the part of Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl. Chuck Bass is from a wealthy and sophisticated family. He loves all luxuries of life and makes no compromise. Ed Westwick plays this part to perfection. He has worked in Children of Men opposite Clive Owen and Julianne Moore. Westwick has movies lined up for release. When not filming for Gossip Girl, Ed lives at his house outside London. The character of Vanessa Abrams is played by Jessica Szhor. She has an ethnic background of both African-American and Caucasian. Jessica worked as a model before she was discovered and chosen to play the onscreen role of Vanessa Abrams.
